Fulham manager Roy Hodgson declared himself delighted with an away point at Wigan - and revealed he is hoping to agree a contract extension in the near future.
Clint Dempsey's penalty secured a 1-1 Premier League draw after Emmerson Boyce had put Wigan in front, and Fulham held on despite the home side's dominance.
Afterwards, Hodgson confirmed he was in talks over a contract extension.
The Fulham manager said: "It's something that has been discussed over a period of time. The club have been keen to organise a contract for me to stay longer, and I am not averse to the idea.
"I hope something will be sorted out in the near future, because they are keen to get something done.
"I have been treated magnificently by the Fulham fans and everyone at Fulham. It has been a really good two years - I like the club and the fans and feel it has been reciprocated."

If there's one manager in football who deserves a new contract it's Roy. Without question and based on the financial retraints he works under what he has achieved at Fulham is little short of staggering. Golden handcuffs comes to mind.....
Would be delighted to here Roy is staying for the long haul. By the way can we please have a striker who can score. No good making all these chances if we can't get the ball in the back of the net!!!!!
Hurry up Fulham and secure a long term contract with this fantastic football manager and great guy.
Roy has proven in his first two years as probably the best manager Fulham has ever had (alongside Alec Stock who guided us as a second division team to our only FA Cup Final in 1975).
From almost certain relegation, to the highest top league position in our history and now into Europe.
Unbelievable for us humble fans. To remain in the Premier League and not have constant fights to avoid the drop is the main priority for the fans. Together with some nice attractive football which Roy has provided from this team and 100% commitment from the players, we are currently on cloud 9.
The icing on the cake would be for a long FA Cup run, a top 10 position finish, a 5 year deal for this great manager, and more of the same next season.
Go on, Mr Al Fayed, you have got us where we always wanted to be, now show us you can keep a great manager when we have one, and give Roy a contract he deserves.
