Dave Jones bemoaned Cardiff's poor start after they went down 3-2 to Swansea in a fiercely-fought South Wales derby at the Liberty Stadium.
Nathan Dyer and Darren Pratley put the hosts into a commanding position with just 16 minutes gone although Jay Bothroyd and Mark Hudson levelled matters before half-time. But Pratley volleyed home what turned out to be the winner just after the hour mark to settle an action-packed encounter.
Jones said: "We never started well and gave two silly goals away and we have to be much better than that. We came out stronger in the second half but then gave away another bad goal.
"We never had any creativity about us and couldn't get any tempo going, but full credit to Swansea who have the points and now we must wait until the return match to get this one out of our system."
He continued: "After being back in the game we should have gone on to get something out of it but it wasn't to be.
"We missed three big players for us and all those that came in did their best but it wasn't a good enough team performance."

Not suprised with Capaldi (our left back) playing in Midfield, and Taiwo coming on as sub looked way out of his depth in this encounter, once again Ledley didnt turn up to such an important game? Although the only swansea born player on the pitch was ironically in a bluebird shirt - Adam Matthews having a tidy game. Cardiff need to show much more passion and heart if they want to win games like this? Lets hope their bottle returns before their trip to Barnsley!
Come on City - we can do it!
