Sheffield Wednesday boss Brian Laws felt that his side's 2-1 defeat at home to QPR was not a fair reflection on the game.
Jay Simpson gave Rangers a 10th-minute lead, firing beyond keeper Lee Grant after latching onto a great through ball from Abel Taarabt, but Jermaine Johnson struck a equaliser just three minutes later after being sent clear by Darren Potter.
Both sides then came close during an entertaining encounter before Kaspars Gorkss snatched a late winner for the visitors, meeting Alejandro Faurlin's corner with a firm near-post header.
"We didn't deserve that," said Laws. "We did enough to win, but football can be cruel at times.
"We scored a great goal and after that I thought we were in control of the game. We feel like we've had our pockets pinched. It wasn't even a corner (for the winning goal) but the referee was so inconsistent with his decisions. Corners and free-kicks were given when they shouldn't have been."
Laws had little sympathy for transfer-seeking defender Richard Wood, who was booed when he came on as a substitute. He said: "The crowd reaction tells you they're disappointed with him and he's got to take it."

Where are the pithy comments re your useless organisation from your equally useless mate rodders? Or is your web page so infrequqented that he is too stupid to find it? Was he one of the fabled folk that wandered round Marcliffe Secondary School in pairs? You know the types---one to attempt to read, t'other to attempt to write! At least we have it confirmed from his own hand exactly which one rodders was!
i wish brian laws would read this page!!
we have no plan B ...and in three years i can only recall 1 match winning sub from mr laws ..leon clarke against palace at hillsboro last season ..you have to be able 2 see your own mistakes to be sure you learn from them ...telling every1 were unlucky every game is doing us no favours we did not deserve to beat QPR a draw would have been fair ... yes we can keep ball and pass it sideways for long periods but were not potent and mr chairman ...."MONEY TALKS AND BULLS*IT WALKS"
REMEMBER THIS Brian Laws hopes a battling 1-1 draw in the face of adversity at Bristol City will prove a turning point in Sheffield Wednesday's season - WRONG
AND THIS Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws is hoping to mark the end of his third year in charge at Hillsborough this week with victory over QPR on Saturday - WRONG
AND THIS AND I QUOTE
"This also sends out the message that Sheffield Wednesday is a club moving in the right direction and one that is not looking to sell its best players'' - WRONG
BRIAN MATE THE DIRECTION IS DOWNWARDS, AND THEN YOU DEFLECT THE @#$% RESULT AT TRANSFER SEEKING WOOD, HE WANTS TO MOVE BECAUSE YOU ARE USELESS, AND TO THINK BURNLEY WANTED YOU, LOOK WERE THEY ARE NOW
more @#$% excuses!!!!how many times is laws gonna keep rolling out the same excuse, any body with half a brain can see we need a goal scorer, our inability to put games to bed is there for all to see!!!!no more excuses bri, time to put us all out of our misery and follow richard wood out of the club!!!!
