United boss Craig Levein was full of praise for goalkeeper Nicky Weaver after their 2-0 victory at Kilmarnock.
Damian Casalinuovo's double gave United victory but Levein highlighted the performance of Weaver, who is on a short-team deal until January, for his heroics between the sticks.
"It is hard to say what I was most pleased with," he said. "I thought it was a good team performance and I could go through the whole team, I thought they excelled.
"I thought our two central defenders handled Kevin Kyle well and when they didn't, Nicky was there. I counted three really good saves from him."
He added: "I have worked with top-class goalkeepers and he is certainly one of those.
"In January I have Dusan Pernis coming in from Slovakia. I signed him before Nicky came on the radar so he will have to be good."
