Yeovil manager Terry Skiverton refused to slam his side after seeing the Glovers wave the white flag in a 1-0 FA Cup defeat at Oxford.
The Blue Square Premier leaders reached the second round by beating a team 35 places above them thanks to Jack Midson's 55th-minute lob.
Skiverton said: "I'm putting this down to an off day and we've got to put this behind us and, as the old cliche says, now concentrate on the league.
"We've been on a really good run of form and then had the defeat at Leeds. But I believe it's just an off day and not a sign that we're going to now be in a bad run of form.
"We didn't fight hard enough. It wasn't just one or two individuals who didn't perform, we didn't perform as a team.
"We had too many players not on the ball, we didn't create enough chances and couldn't get our playmaker, Ryan Mason, on the ball."
