Wycombe manager Gary Waddock was left trying not to get himself into hot water with the FA over referee Simon Hooper's performance following a thrilling 4-4 draw with Brighton at Adams Park.
Glenn Murray's 83rd-minute penalty, awarded for handball by Matt Bloomfield, earned the Seagulls a replay in a game which saw three spot-kicks and two red cards in addition to the eight goals.
The handball was just one of several decisions to baffle the new Chairboys' boss.
He said: "At the moment nothing seems to be going our way in terms of decisions. Some of the decisions were quite strange. I'm trying my best to be a diplomat.
"If it had been a blatant handball then fair enough it's a penalty, but sometimes you see those given and sometimes you don't."
