Swindon manager Danny Wilson was happy with his team's performance despite seeing them progress to the FA Cup second round by only the slenderest of margins against Woking.
The non-League side battled well and it took 36 minutes for the Robins` superiority to pay off when Jon-Paul McGovern's corner was headed powerfully home by Billy Paynter.
Swindon enjoyed the majority of possession in the first half but a combination of poor finishing and careless passing restricted the League One side to a 1-0 interval lead.
Wilson said: "We knew we were in for a tough physical game and that didn't surprise us. This was never going to be easy as it was a big game for Woking.
"One mistake from our back four could have cost us and we might have been out of the Cup, but we stood very firm.
"When we scored the assistant flagged but the referee said he had a good view and overruled the assistant. We did well to get down the sides but we were a bit wasteful with the end result."
