Euro 2012 - Foster not planning England return
On-loan West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster has ruled out ending his retirement from international football in the foreseeable future.
Foster caused a surprise when he opted to make himself unavailable for England towards the end of last season before making the temporary switch from Birmingham to Albion in the summer.
The former Manchester United player cited staying fit as the main reason for him to step down from England duty after a string of niggling injuries.
England are short of experienced Premier League goalkeepers as back-up to Joe Hart, who has become Fabio Capello's number one.
But Foster said: "The main reason to stop playing for England was to get rid of any niggling injuries - and at the moment I have stayed injury free. I am happy with the way things are going at the moment."
Foster made his England debut four years ago against Spain but has added only four more caps.
His last appearance was in a 2-1 defeat to France at Wembley in a friendly 13 months ago.
