Cardiff manager Dave Jones has allowed striker Jason Byrne to leave the club and join Irish league side Bohemians. The Republic of Ireland marksman joined the Bluebirds in January last year for £75,000 and went on to score the winner on his debut against Wolves.
That proved to be his only goal for the first team in 10 appearances, although he has been the leading scorer for the club's reserves this season.
He will be reunited with Pat Fenlon at Bohemians, his former boss at Shelbourne, and is also set to renew his strike partnership with Glen Crowe.
Fenlon told the club's official website: "We are delighted to have Jason on board. He scored a lot of goals while he was at Shelbourne and I hope he can do so again at Bohemians."
