Cheltenham goalkeeper Shane Higgs has one eye on the Championship after a string of super shows for the Robins. He produced another fine display to keep Port Vale at bay last time out with a clean sheet in a 1-0 win - in front of watching Wolves boss Mick McCarthy.
The 6ft 3in stopper is a popular figure at Whaddon Road, winner of the supporters' player of the year last season and the third player to make 200 Football League starts for the club this term, but could find the lure of the Championship too hard to turn down.
He told the Gloucestershire Echo: "You have to believe and hope that it's going to happen. If someone does come along and the offer is right, then I'd love to give it a go.
"I have played in League Two and League One and I feel I have proven myself in both of those. It would be nice to have a chance to do it in the Championship to see if I can reach that level as well.
"Obviously I want to improve myself but it doesn't go through my mind during games. I just want to do well for Cheltenham. You are aware people are there but during the game you concentrate fully on playing as well as you can."
