Manchester United youngster Kieran Lee is hoping to use his six-month spell with QPR to get some first-team experience under his belt. The 19-year-old defender made his Rangers debut as a second-half substitute against Chelsea in the FA Cup last weekend and has now set his sights on a Championship bow at Sheffield United on Saturday.

"Making my debut against Chelsea was a great experience and now I'm looking forward to playing in the Championship," he told the club's official website.

"This is an exciting time to be joining QPR because it's a club on the up. From my point of view I'm looking to get experience of competitive, first-team football under my belt.

"Playing in the Championship is far more beneficial than playing in the reserves.

"Hopefully I can grow as a player and go back to Manchester United and push on, but you don't know what's going to happen there and you don't know what's going to happen here. We'll just have to see how it goes."
