Millwall have completed the signing of midfielder Marc Laird from Premier League outfit Manchester City.The 21-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half year deal at the Den to link up again with Lions boss Kenny Jackett, who was on Sven-Goran Eriksson's coaching staff at City.

Jackett fought off competition from League One rivals Port Vale, with whom Laird has been on loan this season, to land the Scot.

"Millwall are a big club, and having worked with Kenny at Manchester City, I know they will become successful with him as manager and I want to be part of that," Laird told the club's official website.
