Tony Mowbray has warned Bostjan Cesar and Pele that their places in the West Brom defence will be under threat as players return from injury.Defenders Martin Albrechtsen and Leon Barnett both returned to the starting line-up against Charlton on Saturday after injury lay-offs and should provide good competition for the current defensive pair.

"I think Martin showed before he got injured the qualities he has got that can help our team, generally in a central defensive position," Mowbray told the Express and Star.

"The competition there is increasing all the time with people coming back to fitness and form. I thought Leon did well at the weekend after a spell out of the side and the competition for places in that area is going to be strong as well."
