Shrewsbury boss Gary Peters is looking forward to finally seeing the best of midfielder Jimmy Ryan. The 19-year old came to the New Meadow in August, initially on loan from Liverpool, and a permanent deal was thrashed out in October.

He has now finally completed his move and scored a superb 30-yard chip for the reserve side this week- in front of Peters.

Peters told the club's official website: "It was magic, an absolutely class goal and I cannot remember us scoring a goal like that since I have been here.

"He has been injured recently and has just only came back into training. It was good to have him back and he did well. We will be looking to feed him in as soon as we can."

"Jimmy is young but he is our player now. He certainly has the potential. We can now start to get him into the team and see if he can handle this division."
