Selection headache for Ritchie

Wed 09 Jan, 04:00 PM

Huddersfield manager Andy Ritchie faces a possible midfield selection crisis ahead of Saturday's home clash with Gillingham.Terriers skipper Jon Worthington missed the FA Cup win over Birmingham due to a hamstring strain and could miss out again, while Andy Holdsworth - man of the match last Saturday - sits out a one-game ban.

Another central midfielder, on-loan Ronnie Wallwork, has returned to parent club West Brom, so Ritchie could be forced to hand 22-year-old Matthew Young a rare start alongside Michael Collins.

Ritchie hopes to bring Wallwork back to the Galpharm Stadium on loan until the end of the season, but a new deal is not expected to be completed in time for the weekend.
