Brian Noble is thrilled with Wigan's progress in their pre-season training camp in Lanzarote.
The coach is putting his squad through a punishing schedule during their spell of warm weather training and insists they will feel the benefit on their return.
"I always suspected this was going to be a most valuable trip and that's exactly how it's turned out to be," he told the club's official website.
"At the end of it all, I reckon we will have fitted about three weeks' worth of work into one week which is a very useful return.
"The players were in good shape before they left and will be in even better shape when they return."
The Warriors fly home on Thursday and then face Warrington at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in Lee Briers' testimonial game three days later.
One player who won't face the Wolves is new signing Richie Mathers although his knee injury is progressing well.
