Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has warned the Molineux faithful not to expect too much too soon from winger Michael Kightly.
The England U21 international made his first appearance for six weeks as a second-half substitute in Saturday's FA Cup tie against Cambridge United.
His intervention with a goal and an assist saw his team through to the fourth round but McCarthy does not expect miracles from the 21-year-old just yet.
He told the club's official website: "It was a good decision not to involve him and an even better one to put him on. I didn't expect to have to play him for as long as I did but he was excellent.
"Don't let anybody think that Michael is just going to come straight back, play for 90 minutes and then again the following Saturday. He is back quicker than I thought he would be a week or ten days ago.
"He might be involved against Palace if everything is okay but he is far from being fully match fit or being ready to come back and play on Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday."
