Sheffield United boss Bryan Robson believes new loan signing David Cotterill will be a success following his move from Wigan.Robson revealed he had been running the rule over the Welsh international for a while and made an approach for him earlier this season.

Robson told the club's official website: "I have been watching him for a long time and I tried getting him earlier this season.

"He is very direct and quick, and can play on the right or up front. I can see him becoming a regular goalscorer and his pace from out wide gives us another option."

Cotterill was also delighted with the move to Bramall Lane, saying: "To join a club like this is great for my future."
