Ryan Bennett insists he is happy to delay his move to Norwich by helping out former club Peterborough.
Bennett joined the Barclays Premier League newcomers on transfer deadline day for an undisclosed fee that Posh are reporting as a club-record sale.
The England Under-21 international defender has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal but the Canaries have agreed for him to remain at London Road on an emergency loan until the end of this month while Peterborough find a replacement.
"Playing in the Premier League is something I've always wanted to do and Norwich are the club that's given me the opportunity," Bennett told the Canaries' official club website. "It's the top league in the world and every player wants to play in it.
"It's nice but I've come straight back to Peterborough so it hasn't really sunk in still. However, I'm happy to be back. It was up to the clubs to come to an agreement to loan me back here and I was happy to do that.
"I would never turn down the chance of joining Norwich. It's something that was in the deal and I'm happy to be back at Peterborough. I wish Peterborough all the success they could have, but once I get to Norwich I'll be concentrating on that and I hope we can achieve some great things."
