Cardiff continued a stunning weekend of FA Cup shocks with a 2-0 win at Middlesbrough on Sunday.
Peter Whittingham and Roger Johnson both scored inside the first quarter of the game and from that position an awful Boro side could find no way back.
In the ninth minute, Whittingham produced a stunning finish to set his side on their way to the semi-finals.
He curled a ninth-minute shot past the helpless Mark Schwarzer to pave the way for another major shock, and defender Johnson completed the job with a diving header in the 22nd minute.
Boro could muster little at the other end - Stewart Downing's 61st-minute free-kick, which flew just over the bar, was the closest they came to reducing the deficit.
Boro's defeat means Portsmouth are the only remaining top-flight side in the competition.
In the evening kick-off, West Brom thrashed League One Bristol Rovers 5-1 to complete the semi-final line-up.
Ishmael Miller was the hero for the Baggies, netting a hat-trick, while James Morrison and Kevin Phillips got the other goals.
Albion, who have reached the semi-finals for the first time in 26 years, looked firmly in control after goals from Morrison and Miller before the half-hour mark.
But Danny Coles immediately halved Rovers' deficit to leave the tie delicately poised at the break.
Miller netted a controversial second goal - he looked well offside - to restore the Baggies' two-goal advantage midway through the second half before the visitors pulled away in the closing stages to book their place in the Wembley semi-finals.
