Northampton goalkeeper Mark Bunn believes that Stuart Gray's side can challenge for automatic promotion from League One next season.Gray's young squad look like missing out on the play-offs this season, but after a fine run of form since Christmas, Bunn believes that a good start to the next campaign could see them soar up the table.

He said: "We are still trying to get into the top six but I think the start we had to the season may have just cost us.

"If we can't get in this season then our aim will be to come out of the traps flying next season.

"We've got a good squad of players here and if we can add to that over the summer hopefully we will be able to make a real push for the top six or even the top two next season."
