Davies bemoans Blues injury crisis

Wed 09 Apr, 08:15 PM

Chester boss Simon Davies is frustrated at the injury crisis within his squad after learning that Richie Partridge and Paul Butler are now out.Richie Partridge (calf) and Paul Butler (Achilles) will both miss Saturday's home clash with Lincoln while a number of other key players have also been absent for City at various stages this season.

Davies told the Chester Evening Leader: "It's frustrating, we seem to get two players back and then two more fall by the wayside. That's been the story of the season.

"The injury to Paul seems to be general wear and tear on his Achilles, while Richie has a calf strain.

"Unfortunately they are recurring problems for the two of them and they simply need to rest the injuries and we will take it from there."
