Ipswich midfielder Owen Garvan has been rewarded for his fine form with his first call up to the full Republic of Ireland squad. The 20-year-old made his debut for the Under-21s in September and has enjoyed another impressive season for Jim Magilton's side.
Garvan has scored three times this season and has already made over 100 appearances for the Tractor Boys.
He has now caught the eye of Giovanni Trapattoni and has been included in a 40-man squad which will be trimmed down to 28 to face Serbia and Colombia at the end of May.
However should Magilton's side make the Championship play-offs he could be forced to miss out as the dates clash.
