Stoke midfielder Liam Lawrence believes it is important the squad stay positive ahead of their Championship promotion run-in.The Potters have recorded just one victory in their last eight games and are a point away from the automatic promotion spots, after West Brom's victory over Blackpool on Tuesday relegated Stoke into third.
Lawrence said: "We had a meeting, and the manager reassured us he's still got belief in us. If you want to get promoted, you've got to be a man about setbacks."
Tony Pulis' side's 2-1 defeat in their last outing against Crystal Palace means that three points is vital if they are to have any chance of moving above West Brom or Bristol City this weekend.
"You cannot keep worrying about the last match. It's all about Coventry now and getting something there," added Lawrence.
