Leeds manager Gary McAllister hopes to extend Dougie Freedman's loan spell until after the play-offs, should they finish in the top six.The Crystal Palace striker is due back at Selhurst Park at the end of the regular season on May 3, but Leeds want Freedman to stay longer if they finish in the top six.
Freedman said: "I came here to win promotion. My contract does say that Crystal Palace can contact me back after 28 days and I think that's up.
"But I'll just keep my head down and turn up for the next game with my boots."
The 33-year-old Scot has been a regular up front for Leeds in recent weeks alongside Jermaine Beckford and his arrival has coincided with a five-match unbeaten run for McAllister's promotion chasers.
