Charlton boss Alan Pardew is set to recall Republic of Ireland Under-21 goalkeeper Darren Randolph from his loan spell at League Two Bury.Pardew needs goalkeeping cover with regular number one Nicky Weaver suspended for Saturday's crucial Championship clash with strugglers Southampton at The Valley.

Randolph, 20, will battle with Rob Elliot, who replaced Weaver after his dismissal just three minutes into the 2-1 win at Plymouth Argyle, for the gloves.

"Without a doubt, Darren will be called back. But whether he starts after Rob's display will be a tough call," Pardew told BBC London 94.9.

"Rob came in and did brilliantly - and we offered him a contract on Friday, so he's had a good weekend."
