Coventry have added three members of staff to the club's backroom team as their future under new owner Ray Ranson continues to take shape.John Murtough joins the Sky Blues as performance director, overseeing the areas of sports science and player recruitment.
Murtough, who has also worked at Everton, was academy director at Fulham during Chris Coleman's spell in charge of the Premier League club.
Andy Thorn, a former Newcastle team-mate of chairman Ray Ranson, is the club's new UK and European scout while Mark Howard is set to become the new fitness coach when John Harbin leaves the Ricoh Arena at the end of the season.
"I am really pleased that Coventry has managed to attract staff of this calibre," said Ranson.
"Each brings their own unique areas of expertise and Chris (Coleman) and I are both looking forward to working with them and further developing the structure of the club."
