Leyton Orient defender Alton Thelwell has been ruled out for the rest of season with a knee problem which has plagued him in recent months.The former Tottenham trainee is now set to see a specialist on Thursday as the O's finally look to resolve the issue.

Manager Martin Ling told The Guardian: "While Alton has returned to the team in recent weeks the knee is still giving him trouble at times.

"With the play-offs now looking beyond us we don't want to risk the situation any further, and feel it is best that he gets it looked at by a specialist so that we can get it right for next season."
