Cheltenham defender Andy Gallinagh has already turned his attention to next season just days after the conclusion of the club's campaign. The 23-year-old, who this week signed a new two-year deal, is looking to put his own stamp on the right-back position at Whaddon Road.
Jerry Gill currently occupies the spot but Gallinagh, who has operated in the centre of defence this season, is determined to give the former Birmingham defender a run for his money come pre-season.
"I want to play right-back and, although I have played better in the middle because I have been there more, it's time to progress at right-back," Gallinagh told the Gloucestershire Echo.
"(Manager) Keith (Downing) knows I can play at left-back or centre-half if needed, but right-back is still my best position.
"I will be raring to go when the rest of the lads come back on July 1."
