Lincoln assistant manager Iffy Onoura has revealed he expects boss Peter Jackson to return to the club in the coming weeks.Jackson handed over the reigns to Onoura for the final few months of the season after being diagnosed with throat cancers.
However, the 49-year-old has now completed treatment and Onoura insists he is focused on helping the Imps gain promotion next season.
"The chairman and I visited the gaffer and it was great to see him in such good spirit. His treatment is over and he's recovering well, but we don't want him to return too early," Onoura told the club's official website.
"The family are now taking a short holiday before what will hopefully be the return of Peter Jackson in a few weeks, fully fit and raring to go.
"Preparing the squad for next season is Peter's number one aim when he returns to work, but he also stressed how important it was to get the whole city behind his promotion push."
