Teddy Sheringham has revealed he is in no hurry to make any career decisions following his retirement from the game. The former England international has hung up his goalscoring boots at the age of 42 following final club Colchester's relegation from the Championship.

Sheringham has been linked with a move into coaching but insists he will take his time to weigh up his options as he ponders life after playing.

"I've got no concrete plans about my immediate future yet - I haven't thought as far as that," he told the Colchester Gazette.

"I'm just going to enjoy not doing anything and see where that takes me."
