Hartlepool boss Danny Wilson has started his summer squad overhaul by releasing six players and offering striker David Foley a new contract.Wilson has opted to offload Scott Allison, Robbie Elliott, Ali Gibb, Tom Haigh, Michael Rae and Stephen Turnbull while Foley - who scored three goals this season - has been handed the chance to prolong his stay at Victoria Park.

Pools have also triggered contract clauses to award new deals to Willie Boland, James Brown, Gary Liddle, Michael Mackay, Andy Monkhouse, Michael Nelson, Joel Porter, Matty Robson and Martin Young.
