Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has vowed to persevere with his transfer policy rather than spending "magic money" in the summer.
The Frenchman is renowned for drafting in young talent rather than splashing the cash on proven star names but, with the club again set to finish the season trophyless, there have been calls from fans for a change this year.
Wenger, though, has no plans to follow the likes of Chelsea's lead and will instead make only minimal alterations to his playing squad.
Reflecting on his side's league showing, as well as their Champions League semi-final defeat to Manchester United, he said: "We are all very down and frustrated but it is not down to spending money. It is down to sticking with our policy.
"Chelsea have spent magic money and still not won the European Cup. I believe our team has developed well but at the moment we are still a bit short. Of course I'll try to bring in one or two in the summer and whoever we get will not be short of experience.
"But the priority is to stay with the squad we have. What am I supposed to do, kick out a quality young player like Walcott, Fabregas, Diaby or Bendtner who is already in his national team?"

wat does wenger think he is doin......its not just about making the board happy, the fans too have to be happy. he grooms a young player and then sells later...dats unfair to arsenal fans.
Sory to say, I do hope Arsenal will lose another 3 game..Please change Wenger...he is so selfish...all he do is just for the name of his reputation...he dont deserve at the club..Arsenal is for all the fans...not just for Wenger.. his time has passed!!!!!!!!!

i rele dont see why bendtner is getting so much stick.. he's only 21 and will get a lot better with years to come
two players with experience ... works for me even if atleast one of them is NOT a defender .... van persie old enough so atleast he must now know how not to lose .... arshavin nasri fabregas walcott good enough ..... yeah a couple of experienced heads will do ... what do ya think guys

AAh wenger has to go,, how many seasons and his not going to change his selfish attitude. Bendtner is @#$%, ada is @#$%, even van persie cant hit the side of a barn door this season. Until he spends on a decent striker, we will never win anything.The man is becoming an @#$%.
at least Bendtner is better than Adebayor.. Bendtner will get better each game & trust me; he'll surpass Adebayor one day..

Bendtner is 21 and has shown move in the last 3 games than adebayor has all campaign and will only get better and could lead the line for many years to come while adebayor will no doubt go off and find another club
go on Wenger, we are all behind u and ur policies, but all we ask for is Trophies and Glories.......
Bendtner is not a quality player.
