Real Madrid are in talks to buy more players after sealing the transfer of Brazil forward Kaka from Milan, sporting director Jorge Valdano.
"We have needs and we will try to satisfy them with more signings which must make us better," Valdano said in comments published on the club's website.
"But we are beholden to the market and things are not as fluid as we would like," he added after Kaka became the Liga club's first signing under new president Florentino Perez.
"We will be working on purchases and sales at the same time and see then what squad we are left with, certainly a better one than last season which is the main aim," said Valdano.
Madrid have been linked with several players, including Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo, Bayern Munich's Franck Ribery, Internazionale's Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Valencia's David Villa.

big transfers:
fabregas(arsenal)/ribery(b.munchen)/mascher ano(liverpool)/ibrahimovich(inter)/villa(valencia)/ague ro(ath.madrid)/robinho(man city) to barcelona
c.ronaldo to r.madrid
pirlo/pato to chelsea
yaya toure/pandev/martins/basong/zapata/vermalen to arsenal
eto`o/deco/bosingua to inter
c.tevez to m.city
this transfers are as a impossible idea.
Big transfers:
M. Diarra + Higuain to Liverpool for Alonso + 5mil
David Silva to Liverpool for Riera + 8mil
Sergio Aguero to Chelsea for 40mil
Frank Ribery to Barcelona for £38mil
Ronaldo to Madrid for 40mil + Sneijder + Robben
Antonio Valencia to Manchester United for £16.5mil
Carlos Tevez to Manchester United for 23mil
Javi Martinez to Liverpool for £13mil
Darijo Srna to Liverpool for £10mil
Albiol & David Villa to Madrid for £40mil
Thomas Vermaelan to Arsenal for £9.5mil
Kolo Toure to Man City for £9mil
With Kaka officially a Madrid player, Perez will most probably sign David Villa for 34 million + Negredo. Silva and Albiol may also bacome the subject of large cash + player deals. Ribery and Ronaldo are also in Perez's sights, Van Der Vaart and Robben/Snejder may become part of the deal as new coach Van Gaal is a big fan of all 3. Cristaino Ronaldo is more complicated as Ronaldo wants 2 move however Man Utd are angry that Madrid have made their interest public and will demand upwards of 75 million pounds.
Barcelona are set for a busy summer with Zlatan Ibrahimovic their main target. They are willing to offer Inter Eto'o and Yaya Toure 4 Ibra and left–back Maxwell. This could well b accepted as Patrick Viera is set 2 join Lyon and Inter will need a replacement. Inter's interest in Eto'o goes back some years and since Ibra has been speaking out about Inter's lack of success in the CL he mayb on his way along with Maxwell who has fallen behind the new Paolo Maldini–Davide Santon. Barcelona's other target is Mascherano who is hugely admired by Guardiola and is willing 2 offer 25 million pounds which could b enough as Liverpool have a tailor–made replacement in Javi Martinez.
Xabi Alonso will not leave Liverpool, and Real Madrid have publicly admitted defeat as they have Gago,L.Diarra and M.Diarra while promising midfielder De La Red may b forced 2 retire due 2 a heart defect. Higuain, Ramos,L.Diarra,Gago,Pepe,Casillas and Raul are all untouchables and will form a part of the new Galacticos.
May new generation of galactico be reality.
i think all the list is impossible maybe two of them could be possible zalatan linkes with barca & chelsea i think REAL can be more powerful than these years i think the most important things in real is changing coach i love real and i will always love.
real is changing will the great florentina i hope that he can change the team eliminate the nl players
i have a season ticket at the stretched bum end and its a joke watching fall over his own feet
take ronny off our hands i am sick of seeing him dive week in week out he belongs to madrid
I think Calderon had made a deal last year to get Racing's Garay to come next season. He and Pepe are similar players. Tall and physical. can guard almost anyone. But they still need some1 on the left flank, instead of that old and soft Heinze. Marcelo has talent, but not that good defensively.
real madrid are pure annoying. Raiding all the top clubs of the best talent. Wheres the competion going to come from?? I hope barcalona take the oppurtunity to sure up there defensive, and triumph next year!
real need carvalho from us if they want a solid defence. he'd be perfect in spain. let us take villa and you can take him as we have great defence
I am a fan of barca and I want them to buy some attacker and some defender. I wouldn't want a situation where it will all be one sided. There is a need for the team to balance up in order to make the game interesting

Barca is not gonna have any better season than this. Barca fans may from now on go on vacation for few years. That if you don't wanna have heart attack, diabety, or any other health issues that will result from seeing Barca getting some slaps from THE GALACTICOS. Forget about the @#$% 6-2 of this year. it's a past now
David Villa, Silva, Ribery, and Ronaldo and that should do the job for the offense. we don't need that overrated Ibra. Let Barca take him!
After that we surely need two more defense maybe agger and vidic should be on the list
1 and 2 make great point real may score more but cant see how signing kaka will stop barca scoring 6 and liverpool scoring 4
Real should rope in Ribery and Zlatan. Even though Robben, Higuan were on the ranks, Real line up lacked the sting when they took Barca last season. Being a Barca fan, I would like to see a more gritty Real than the current line up. If Ramos opts to move out, Real might have some serious 'defence' problems.. Barca will rope in Benzema and Macherano... coming season.
Cool but their defense will still suck........they can have all the forwards in the world but their defense is without a doubt shyt...
