  1. just a piece of history in my family - My dad was a­ mechanic for Jim Russell when he raced at Le Mans and­ he was there when he crashed at the white­ house....think it was in the 50s or 60s. My dad said­ the fair was a fantastic sight to see at night

The best thing about Le Mans 24 Hr (apart from the­ obvious stuff, the sounds, the party, the excitement,­ the brilliant drivers & amazing cars both on &­ off the track) is the fact it is a true test of the­ whole team! A car can go off need some work & be­ back on the road & still have a chance of winning! ­ Thats down to the fantastic support teams, drivers­ & some excellent strategic work! There is most­ definitely no better race in the world!

  8. Was borned and lived there till I was 20. Seen my first­ race at 3 years old. Gutted that I cant go this year!!!­ If you have been you will know that there is no greater­ feeling than standing there at 2pm and see those cars­ starting, what I would call the most amazing and­ exciting race in the world!!!! Love it!!!! And the­ atmosphere, well!! If you love cars, you love Le Mans

  9. Now this is racing. Not rednecks driving­ "stock" cars in circles or going 1/4 mile for­ ~10 sec. This is highly skilled drivers and fine tuned­ machines. trying to push their cars as fast and hard as­ they can for a full 24 hours. I love the fact that the­ Audi turbo diesels dominate this series/race on bio­ diesel.
