Milan striker Alexandre Pato plans to hold talks with former boss and new Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti before deciding on his future.
The 19-year-old Brazilian, whose compatriot Kaka sealed a move from Milan to Real Madrid, has been a constant goal threat since joining from Internacional in 2007.
Milan sold playmaker Kaka to help boost their bank balance and insist Pato is staying but speculation has been rife that former San Siro boss Ancelotti wants to take him to London.
"I will talk with Ancelotti. He is an extraordinary man. It is thanks to Ancelotti that I managed to come through at Milan and in Italian football," Pato told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Before deciding my future I want to talk with him. At the end of June, after the Confederations Cup in South Africa, I will talk with the Milan directors."
The loss of former world player of the year Kaka after six years has led to supporter protests and any further high profile departures could rock the Rossoneri, whose ageing side stuttered since winning the Champions League in 2007.
New novice coach Leonardo, who started taking an advanced coaching badge on Monday, faces a tough baptism in the job.
Media reports have linked Milan with the quick purchase of Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko to try to quell the unrest caused by the Kaka sale.

They need more players filled the bench likes SW Philips,G.Johnson,
W.Bridge,Crespo,Ferreira,Deco,Carval ho and many more...
going backwards KIETH another stupid comment from someone who knows nothing if chelsea are going backwards would you say 2 league titles and 3 fa cup wins 2 league cup wins 2 loseing finals and 5 out the last 6 years in the semi final champions league also the leading goalscorer this season you muppett think about what you type before you put your stupid donkey brain in gear people like you just open your mouth and type the first words that fall out of them
all he or should i say his agent wants to talk to ancelotti about is , how much money can we squeeze out of chelsea, yet another foriegn mercenary, they should tell him, your 19, we,ll pay you 10,000 pounds per week take it or leave it, if he,s that good he prove himself and earn a better contract, some hope, PARASITES.
if the rumours are true that ashley cole is holding out for 150k a week then i think we should say enough is enough with the so called credit crunch is it about time the whole football world said the time is over for those greedy b'astards to have a wage cap todays papers have claimed that liverpool could be in meltdown the way football is going the champions league elite will break away and the small fry will fade away which will be sad only today setanta has admitted its skint
I hope I can be a well-educated man's someone special. I have long legs, blond hairs and blue eyes. Im kind, well-educated, humurous and cute. Reach me at _____K issMillionaires C o M_____
chelsea should def buy him. pato, young, zhrikov and aguero. some good young talent stuff villa no way is he worth 38 million.
The lad has hardly played any footie...looks a good prospect but paying £30millionplus is a bit ridiculous.
staniskingofallcreation milan have already put their faith in ronaldinho and hope he will be kaka's successor. So it will not be pato he's too young and he plays in a completely different position.
Forgot Gizmo, nowadays Rugby is my game. Sportsmen who don't abuse the officials and respect opponents. Don't see that on football field, sadly

Pato should not come......... He is too gud for Chelsea.. Chelsea do not make players they break............................................
Gizmo, was a blues fan back in the good old days, webby, and the like, a team of winners and then we sold our heritage. It's not about football nowadays it's all about money. Teams used to produce local talent, that has all gone and now we charge the earth to watch these overpaid so called superstars. Do you realise thay earn more in 3 months than the man on the terrace earns in a lifetime. How can that be justified. Don't blame the players, we would all take the cash, but let's get back to reality. Put the sport back into football.
Milan ain't going to sell Pato, selling Kaka was needed in order to balance the books but they wouldn't be stupid enough to Pato,a player they see as Kaka's successor!
i can't believe it, milan was the first club players want to come in, now.. players escape from this club as if it dont have prestige and history of a big club, how milan expect to be at top? which players they expect to buy? in time kaka leave and maldini retire, pato in doubt, and there is no joker in the club, milan need to decide in which side they chose, this indicate is they are going nowhere.
Keith - mate quit the Chelski thing, it's old hat now. I notice u don't reveal who u support, but am guessing your're probably abit jealous deep down, or maybe your a bitter and twisted gooner - am i right?
Chelseabest - oh so the reason that Grant didn't play Sheva was because Mourinho told him not to play him, is that it? ...come on mate the real reason was because Mourinho saw soon enough that Sheva had no pace anymore (just like Owen now), and a striker with no pace isn't going to do much in the Premiership - a harsh fact, but true. Sheva is still a great though. No one can take his achievements away from him, and he's one of the all time highest scorers in the Champions League. It's unfortunate that Chelsea got him when he was past his best. Had they signed him in say 2001 or thereabouts he'd have been dynamite.
rkvohra70 - i agree with most on the list but Anelka is worth keeping as Hiddink made it possible for both he and Drogba to play well in the same team, just hope Ancelotti can do the same.
Carvalho was injured for most of last season and contrary to what u think is not a waste of space - he's still a great defender and all round quality player who will be missed. He's wants to quit Chelsea (now that Alex has established himself there) and it looks like Inter is where he's heading....along with Deco. Good luck to them both i say.
Pato, if you really want to improve and win major honours stay in europe, don't waste a career in uk, esp not at london's most hated. Players only go one way at chelski, backwards.
pato should come to chelsea as well as david villa, ashley young and we'll win the league.
Hey guys. Mark these words. ""Pato is going to be bigger then Kaka"" No way AC Milan is going to sell him.
Ancellotti is dreaming.
malouda has earned his place on the left an has been in top form, were is pato going to go, as long as we start with 2 up front (drogba an anelka) pato wont get in with malouda on the left joe cole on the right the ever amazing lampard an essien in centre. dont get me wrong pato is a good player but not good enough to replace drogba or anelka.ashley young would be an awesome signing, an give malouda some fierce competition, deco, carvalho out, both a waste of time but we should start to bring in mancienne an stoch!!!!!!!
