Norwich boss Bryan Gunn has made Exeter midfielder Matt Gill his first summer signing.
The 29-year-old's contract with the Grecians was due to expire at the end of the month and he will join the Canaries on a two-year deal on July 1.
Gill spent three years at St James' Park and was recently named the club's player of the season after helping them to a second successive promotion to League One.
Gunn told the club's official website: "The winning mentality of a player who has been with a club which has enjoyed success for the last two seasons was very important to me.
"Matt has experience at this level with other clubs and he's a very competitive player - but he's also a player who likes to pass the ball and I believe the Norwich fans will take to him due to the way he plays, the attitude and commitment he shows.
"He's a Norwich lad born and bred and he is desperate to pull on the yellow and green jersey and do well for Norwich City."

Now theres optomism I like to see, well done NCFC fans.
good luck as you brought some good times back to exeter but a bit miffed you are taking backhanded swipes at the side you enjoyed so much success with. its no secret norwich are a bigger club but dont forget where you would be if you had not played for us.
A player who wants to play for us can only be a good signing. Welcome Matt Gill. Make your parents and us proud. Good to have a local lad back in to the fold. Also may i add how pleasing it is today to read that Dejan wants to stay and play for us, repaying some loyalty. Exactly the spirit we need, unlike those who have left or want to leave having got us in the position we are in today.
COME ON YOU YELLOWS !!!!!
welcome to the army!
welcome on board! good to have a local lad who says that this is a dream come true for him. we want players who want to be here. I've been reading up on him and he looks a decent player at this level.
could be a decent signing , certainly no fool at this level....
