Bristol City boss Gary Johnson is confident that star midfielder Marvin Elliott will remain at Ashton Gate this summer.

The 24-year-old is a reported transfer target for West Brom and Wolves, who had a bid for the former Millwall man turned down by the Robins in January.

Johnson told the Evening Post: "There is a lot more speculation than truth in these sort of transfer stories.

"But it is always nice for Marvin to see his name linked with big clubs.

"He is definitely one we would like to keep and I am certain that he will be playing for us when the season gets underway."
