Stuart McCall has given Guiseley striker James Hanson the chance to make "his dream come true" with a two-week trial.

Hanson, who has scored 44 goals in the last two seasons for the UniBond League Premier Division side, will join up with McCall's squad when pre-season training starts on July 1.

McCall told the club's official website: "James has been on our radar for a while.

"Obviously he was contracted to Guiseley last season and we tried to get him down to play in a reserve game, but work commitments wouldn't allow it.

"He scored against us last year and since Christmas has hit a good vein of form. Guiseley went on a good run and I think he was a main part of that.

"We're giving him the opportunity to come and make a good impression. Maybe his dream could come true."
