Pienaar could earn new Everton deal

Everton are likely to offer Steven Pienaar an improved contract to end speculation over his future.

Manager David Moyes has already moved to insist that England defender Joleon Lescott is not for sale, despite rumoured interested from Manchester City.

Pienaar has two years left on his current deal and said: "Who knows where I will be in two years' time?

"It has been a happy two years at the club so far and I am delighted to have played a small part in the success we have achieved in finishing fifth and reaching the FA Cup final, but you never know in football what tomorrow will bring."
