Wycombe boss Peter Taylor has revealed he is working tirelessly to bring new players to the club ahead of the League One season.

Taylor was interested in Exeter midfielder Matt Gill only to see the player join Norwich on a two-year deal on Tuesday.

With the League One curtain raiser just under two months away Taylor is still trying to bring fresh faces to Adams Park.

"There are lots of people I'm looking at and I'm talking to Steve Hayes (managing director) on a regular basis to try and sort deals," Taylor told the club's official website.

"I've been in contract with a number of players and agents but there isn't one single player that stands out."
