Crewe Alexandra striker Byron Moore is determined to make a greater impact in League One after a promising debut season last year.The 20-year-old made 36 appearances for the first team last year and although he only scored three times, he thoroughly enjoyed his first taste of senior action.

And he is now hoping to add to his goal tally when the new season kicks off next month.

Moore told the club's official website: "I was shocked with my involvement last year, I'd only just come up from being a scholar so I didn't think I would get that many games.

"I enjoyed it though and there is still a lot more to come from me, including a few more goals.

"This is a big year for me and I want to use this summer to get fitter and stronger. I'm happy with how I did last season but now I'm focused on next season and pushing on."
