Grimsby Town defender Nick Fenton is playing "a waiting game" over whether his future is at Blundell Park. The 28-year-old was placed on the transfer list at the end of last season after two years with the club and appears to have fallen further down the pecking order following the arrival of defensive trio Matt Heywood, Richard Hope and Robbie Stockdale this summer.
Fenton has vowed to give his all for the Mariners should he remain at the club and is hopeful the situation will be resolved either way as soon as possible.
"Not much is happening on the move front," Fenton told the Grimsby Telegraph. "I am waiting for a few clubs to get back to me so we'll see what happens.
"I think a lot are waiting to see what their budgets are. Until then it's a waiting game.
"But I've been back training with Grimsby and that's been fine."
