Port Vale boss Lee Sinnott insists many players in his new side will not have to carry the burden of the club's nightmare season last year.Sinnott has endured a disappointing opening spell at Vale Park having suffered relegation from League One just six months after taking the reins.
But he is in the process of rebuilding his squad, with young players ready to step up to the mark and new faces having been brought in during the summer.
"What you have to remember is there are a lot of players who weren't involved in last season," said Sinnott.
"We've brought six of the youth team through as well; they hardly played any part whatsoever.
"Players will know about it but aren't actually responsible for it. Obviously we'll be determined to play at as high a level as possible and to be as successful as possible. That's the way we're approaching things."
