Striker Ollie Ryan insists Lincoln City fans never saw the best of him during his four-year spell at Sincil Bank. The 22-year-old recently joined home-town club Boston on a one-year deal after being released by the Imps in March.
Ryan made just under 50 appearances for the club and despite scoring regularly for the reserves, never netted for the first team.
"Ten starts in four years is tough for anybody," Ryan told the Lincolnshire Echo.
"I did not get as many games in a row as I would have liked but at the same time I always respected the managers' decisions and I always got on well with them.
"I was a regular goalscorer in the reserves, but when I did play in the first team, the chances did not go in."
