Ian Holloway is "definitely interested" in the vacant manager's job at Hearts.
The SPL side are still searching for a new boss after reported target Vladimir Weiss recently opted to take the Slovakia job.
Holloway, though, has emerged as the latest contender to land the position after his agent held talks with the club.
The former Bristol Rovers, Queens Park Rangers, Plymouth and Leicester manager said in the Scottish Daily Express: "Hearts have spoken to my agent at length and are aware that I am interested in the job.
"I believe they want to talk to me but they have concerns due to the fact I don't have my (UEFA) Pro-licence.
"I don't know if that is going to cause a problem but I am working towards it and my assistant Tim Breacker already has his full UEFA Pro-licence, so hopefully that will overcome the problem.
"We will have to see what happens but I am definitely interested in the job."
Holloway left Leicester at the end of last season following their relegation to League One.

Out of the frying pan into the fire? First Mandaric then Romanov! Better put Holloway on suicide watch.
Who cares about the next hearts manager, within 5 years tin-castle will be a housing scheme or supermarket and we'll need to add Spartans to the league to make up the numbers to replace the gorgie scumbags.
remember mr Holloway you wont be picking the team .....!
