Pittsburgh Penguins forward Maxime Talbot has undergone surgery to repair a chronic shoulder problem and will miss four to five months.
"Although he will miss training camp and the start of the season, the doctors expect him to make a complete recovery," Penguins General Manager Ray Shero said in a statement on the team's website.
Talbot, 25, scored both goals in the Penguins' 2-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings in Game Seven of the Stanley Cup Finals.
