Volvo Olsbergs Green Racing have entered two cars in the WTCC meeting at Brands Hatch later this month.
The Volvo C30 cars, driven by Robert Dahlgren and Tommy Rustad, will have the maximum compensation weight and not eligible to score points as they have been accepted by the FIA Bureau on the basis of the national homologation.
This is the third guest appearance for Volvo in WTCC, as Dahlgren raced a Volvo S60 at Anderstorp in 2007 and a C30 at Brands Hatch last year.
His best result was eighth in Anderstorp's Race 2. Rustad - the first Norwegian to join WTCC - used to be a competitor in the FIA European Touring Car Championship, scoring two race wins for Nissan in 2001.
"Last year was an exploratory appearance. This year we are upping the stakes to give our British Volvo fans and customers a great show," said Derek Crabb, director of motorsport at Volvo Car Corporation.
Rustad and Dahlgren are currently second and sixth respectively in the Swedish Touring Car Championship.
Brands Hatch is the eighth leg of the 2009 WTCC season and takes place on July 18-19.
