Heaven and Hull for pastor Geo

Hull midfielder Geovanni is working as a pastor at a Manchester church in his spare time.

The Brazilian, who previously played for Manchester City, attends the New Hope Fellowship Church in Hulme. Geovanni, 29, also runs football workshops with local children after arriving in Manchester two years ago.

"Deiber (Geovanni) has been working with boys in the local area and doing some great work," Pastor Ezequias Santos, head priest at the church, told the Manchester Evening News.

"Like Kaka, he is a Brazilian player who has kept his faith and remained humble even though his life is now very different to ours.

"He wants to be part of the community and help youths develop good behaviour, even though he now has a wealthy background."

Geovanni, who scored eight goals last season, is currently in Italy at Hull's training camp as the club prepare for a second successive campaign in the Barclays Premier League.

    Praise G-d that there is ANOTHER­ footballer that KNOWS where is "Gifts and­ talents" come from. I attend Sollihull Renewal­ Christian Centre/ B'ham where there are quite a few­ footballers and "ex"footballers who attend.­ Dennis Baily is one, who also works with boys and girls­ in a youth group and who has also formed their own­ football team. He is a mentor to kids/teens when they­ dont have any mentors at home, keeps them off of the­ streets and enables them to enteract with other youth­ and teaches them to respect not only each other but­ ADULTS!! It says in the BIBLE that "he that does­ NOT believe in G-d is a FOOL"!! And if you look up­ the word "Fool in Hebrew and in Aramaic" you­ will see it has alot to say on this subject (and also­ learn that it has VERY strong meanings!) You cant't­ "see" air... Hold your breath (without­ cheating) for 3 -4 min and you will be on the floor­ gasping for the air which you CANNOT see BUT need to­ live. The HOLY SPIRT/G-d is the same way! There is­ nothing anybody can write on here that will EVER change­ my BELIFE! Its NOT "Religion" its having a­ deep rooted RELATIONSHIP with G-d your creator.. O yes,­ who made G-d? I can ask you who made the­ "scientist" who tries to deny G-d? Where does­ Good and Evil come from? Why arent you right now­ robbing a bank? Its wrong? Who says its wrong?... I can­ go on FOREVER... I say CONGRATS to Giovanni, Dennis­ Baily, Cyril Regis and the ones I dont know who are­ stepping out of their BOX and doing something for their­ communities instead of sitting on their Blessed­ ASSURANCES... You Go Guys!!! To those who are doing­ nothing but critizing these men and G-d, what are YOU­ doing to help this country/world/community?.. Get off­ of your Blessed Assurances and DO something! Perhaps go­ to your local library and STUDY and step out of your­ box and REMOVE your "blinkers"!

One i believe­ is God alway leaves a remnant who will always represent­ Him in the world so corrupted with pleasure and­ comfort.   5. Great to see Geovanni proclaiming the wondrous work of­ God. Lets no also forget the work done by Linvoy Primus­ both in football, in the charity he fronts with Micky­ Mellows, (ex Pompey player), and in his staunch­ attendance at Waltham Chase Methodist Church.
    These­ people are seen as role models and in the case of­ Linvoy and Trish his wife, they have seen the bad times­ and are very happy to pronounce where God has taken­ them.
    We need living examples and both of these people­ are.

    As if we haven't got enough religious nutters in­ this country. then they go and bring in more -
    at the­ expense of our own bred youngsters that DO NOT need­ religion and CAN do things extremely well without­ it!
    DID IT NEVER OCCUR to you that you HAVE all been­ lied to, that their is no god in any religion, and that­ we are here for the day and now, only - or, are you all­ so greedy for the life hereafter and all those­ ridiculous and never fulfilled promises, that you will­ believe anything!

It's great to see Geovanni, Kaka­ continuing to be living testimonies as God has given­ them favor as pro footballers.
