The seventh round of the 2008 Intercontinental Rally Challenge takes place this week in Spain, September 12th and 13th. The Principe de Asturias rally has its headquarters in Ovideo, situated in the country's northern region.
About 60 crews are awaited in Oviedo when the Spanish asphalt event – on its first appearance within the IRC – launches Friday morning at 6:45. A total of 15 stages appear on the programme, spread over two days of racing.
Friday offers nine stages representing over 160 kilometres of competition, while the following day counts six more timed runs and nearly 90 additional kilometres to contest. The rally finish is expected at around 15:30 in Oviedo on Saturday.
Spain is situated in the GMT + 2 time zone, as are most European countries. UK residents must subtract one hour to the schedule indicated below.
